Inspired by the workwear worn by laborers and electricians on the job site, we create a new uniform. The collection primarily focuses on practical clothing such as jumpsuits, workwear jumpers, cargo pants, and is updated through a variety of colors. Taking cues from the industrial blues, khakis, olives, and browns commonly used in workwear, we combine them with functional nuances of black, yellow, blue, and more. From orange to beige, we soften the rugged image of workwear with gentle pastel tones.
The utility jumper is designed to be practical yet not appear rugged with lightweight materials and bright colors. It incorporates bright colors like white or light blue, as well as soft colors like pink and pastel green in layering. It is available in various thicknesses, from thicker jumpers to thinner and more comfortable outer shirts. Experiment with color matching and item layering to create proportion play.
The pockets are boldly arranged in large numbers, reminiscent of a workman's uniform. Small and large pockets are strategically placed to accommodate tools of various sizes, keeping them organized without adding too much bulk, or light materials and colors to reduce the sense of heaviness. Detachable pockets and aprons, for instance, are also effective for adjusting the level of utility as needed.
Materials such as washed cotton, rugged-look processed cotton, denim, and undyed natural cotton are suggested. Functionality is emphasized with color blocking and fluorescent lines for safety as accents. Print patterns focus on natural stains, fading, surface textures, or patterns that overlap with damage, creating prints that are forgiving of stains. While not necessarily meant for actual workwear, it can be seen as a reflection of the practicality that workwear should possess.
